Chris is the former Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for Smithfield Foods where he spent over 13 years with responsibility over packaging, ingredients and Indirect spend categories. His leadership assisted in substantial annual cost savings efforts both domestically and internationally as Smithfield continued to grow through acquisition and their strategic combination with the WH Group of China. He sat on a committee charged with Global Synergies to optimize spend, improving and building operations abroad. Chris left the company at the end of 2016 in order to co-found SBG. He currently resides both in Chicago, Illinois and Scottsdale, Arizona where he spends his free time on the golf course, reading or entertaining friends and family at his invested restaurants.
